Stop Writer's Block in the Grocery Store?
Thought for the Week -
Summertime Motivation - Not!
I don't know about you, but the
summertime heat is zapping my motivation. None of my
regular tricks are working to get me going on my regular
projects.... so I tried to figure out what led to such a
downward spiral this month.
First, my workout place is closing -- and I quit going.
Then I started eating lots of not-so-healthy stuff. And
I also remembered that I didn't get my CEO GO List(tm)
set up for June (so I didn't get my daily goals,
celebrations or exercise/water tracking done).
So... last week to change to an upward spiral, I went to
exercise and got my CEO GO List(tm) ready for July and
August.
And in case anyone else is suffering from the "can't get
motivated to work in the summer" syndrome and wants to
get organized, I'm offering a special on the CEO GO
Lists(tm).
You get special pricing (up to 30% off), special formats
(a three-hole punched version is available now) and now
I've got samples online. Get yours today here.
Are you struggling with trying to write and publish your
next non-fiction book? For the past few months I've been
telling you about all the success I've been having using
the tools from Book School guru Lynne Klippel (my next
ebook is 50% done).
Because her information is so valuable (and I know many
of you are trying to finish that book you've been
working on), I've made special arrangements for her to
tell you some of her best secrets at no-charge!
We had a blast at the the Institute of Children's Literature chat with
writers and authors. We had tons of questions -- about getting organized, your
filing system, your office and much more.
How do you stop writer's block? Do you have any special ways you get back to
writing?
Scott Ginsberg, author of The Power of Approachability, wrote this wonderful
article about how he used the grocery store to solve his writer's block problem:
Stop writer's block

having a huge sale which ends Monday, July 11th!
I'm addicted to office supplies.... if you are as addicted as me,

will pay the shipping with a $99 purchase.
Sometimes all it takes to get me jump-started is some new office supplies...

"Julie, I am sending a quick note to thank you for your well measured and extra-ordinary website. You have
a tremendous amount of information at a very reasonable cost. I subscribed to your free site and, for the
first time in forty years of writing, found a planner that works for me.
I felt so guilty for receiving so much information free from your
site that I have now ordered and downloaded the e book. I have found that you have struck a cord among so
many writers regarding procrastination and simple organization. Keep up the good work.
